In 2026, Simon is celebrating his 25th anniversary in watchmaking.

 

Simon Freese Watchmakers was founded in 2016  In the last 10 years Simon has gained an International audience for his sympathetic approach to restoration of vintage watches, with a speciality in early Omega Speedmaster models, and is now recognised as one of the leading specialists in restoration and conservation.

 

Simon worked at Swiss Time Services Ltd, the UK's largest Watch Service Centre, as Workshop Manager for 15 years. During this time Simon become well known internationally. Simon Freese is an Omega Specialist, repairing and restoring many significant watches for collectors, utilising his own knowledge and experience to ensure that each watch received an appropriate level of repair and conservation. He also introduced many new Watchmakers to the industry through a successful in-house training scheme. In 2016 Simon received recognition for his work with Swiss Time Services when he was included in the Watch Pro Hot 100 list. Simon's work has been showcased extensively online, where reviews can be found on specialist Forums, such as The Omega Forum, TZUK and WatchuSeek. During his career, Simon has spent time training in Switzerland, most noteably at the Girard Perregaux manufacture in La Chaux De Fonds, where he become Accredited as a Girard Perregaux Watchmaker. Simon has also received training and certification with Omega, Breitling and Cartier in Switzerland.
