Simon Freese Watchmakers was founded in 2016 by Simon Freese, Watchmaker and watch enthusiast. Simon worked at Swiss Time Services Ltd, the UK's largest Watch Service Centre, as Workshop Manager for 15 years. During this time Simon become well known as an Omega Specialist, repairing and restoring many significant watches for collectors, utilising his own knowledge and experience to ensure that each watch received an appropriate level of repair and conservation. He also introduced many new Watchmakers to the industry through a successful in-house training scheme. In 2016 Simon received recognition for his work with Swiss Time Services when he was included in the Watch Pro Hot 100 list. Simon's work has been showcased extensively online, where reviews can be found on specialist Forums, such as The Omega Forum, TZUK and WatchuSeek. During his career, Simon has spent time training in Switzerland, most noteably at the Girard Perregaux manufacture in La Chaux De Fonds, where he become Accredited as a Girard Perregaux Watchmaker. Simon has also received training and certification with Omega.
Simon opened his workshop in order to offer a repair and restoration service that is of the highest quality. The workshop has been purpose built to Simon's design, allowing complete control of the available work space. Offering a personal and efficient service, Simon Freese Watchmakers are able to offer a comprehensive range of repair options, and will always go the extra mile to help. Simon's intention is to make the experience of having your watch repaired an enjoyable and rewarding process, and respects the sentimental and emotional attachment that customers have with their watches.
Simon has an interest in lathe work, and enjoys spending time on various watch related projects, inspired by the continuing resurgence of Watchmaking in the UK. Kelly manages the office at Simon Freese Watchmakers, and is on hand to assist with all aspects of customer service. Kelly has formerly worked in the Education sector, and looks after all non-technical aspects of the business.
